Text Box: MSHA Update:  This eight (8) hour safety and health course will cover everything necessary for your MSHA update.  Topics will include: miners statutory rights, how to protect yourself from hazards found on mine sites and health hazards associated with working on a mine site such as silicosis.
Crosby  Qualified Rigging Course:  At the end of this 16 hour course the ironworker will receive a Crosby rigging certification card and an Ironworkers rigging certification card.  Topics will include:  how to calculate Working Load Limits (WLL), how to use the various capacity charts and safe rigging practices.
OSHA 10:  This 10 hour safety course includes Material Handling, Hazard Communication, Fall Protection, Electrical, PPE, and other subparts required to fulfill the OSHA certification,  The OSHA 10hr course is required by all ironworkers as of 8/8/08
Instrument:  This 8 hour introductory course will cover how to set-up an instrument and take basic shots.  This course will also cover the related math necessary to take these measurements.

Text Box: Instrument II:  This more advanced class will cover how to use the vernier to lay out angles, how to establish control lines and other more advanced measurements using the theodylite.  This course will also cover the related math necessary to take these measurements.
OSHA 30:  This 30 hour course, which is split into three 10 hour sessions, is an in-depth study of the OSHA rules and regulations.  The first session is similar to OSHA 10 except that in this class the students will learn how  to look up items in the OSHA manual.  Day 2 consists of using the IPT metal trades handbook.  Day 3 incorporates disaster response.
Intro to Blueprints:  This 8 hour course will lay the groundwork for blueprint reading.  We will assume that the student has no knowledge of blueprints at all.  This is a very basic course
Blueprint Reading II:  This, more advanced 8 hour course will cover the differences in Structural, reinforcing and ornamental blueprints.  Scheduling and sequencing will also be covered in this class.
